Dolby Atmos Speaker
Dolby Atmos is an immersive audio format that extends surround sound beyond a single plane at ear level, to the realm of overhead, three-dimensional object-based surround sound by incorporating effects that emanate from all over the room, including above you. Traditional 5.1 and 7.1 or larger home theater audio systems can be adapted with 2, 4 or more Dolby Atmos speakers to create a dome of sound that envelopes a listener, creating the most convincing movie and music listening experience possible. The DTS:X and Auro-3D audio formats are similar object-based surround formats, albeit with slightly different approaches to loudspeaker placement.
